The Last Crossing

A novel by Andy Owen

AN OCEAN LINER.

A DEADLY SECRET.

A PASSIONATE AFFAIR

The Atlantic. 1939.

Diplomats, business leaders and spies are all crossing the ocean before the shadows of war close in. Among them are Henry Wetherby, a British official already suspicious of Germany’s intentions – and Elizabeth, his beautiful young wife.

But the voyage takes a darker turn when a passenger is lost overboard.

Officially it is an accident. Henry is not convinced.

As the crossing continues, suspicion begins to spread through the elegant corridors and candlelit dining rooms of the great liner. But Henry is completely unaware of Elizabeth’s growing closeness to a charming and enigmatic man travelling with the German delegation.

By the time the ship reaches England, the truth has already begun to disappear beneath layers of deception – and a passionate affair had begun.

Years later, with Europe at war and London under threat, Henry will discover that what happened during that Atlantic crossing, was only the beginning.

Because some secrets do not stay buried at sea…
